Upcoming Events at Anchor - Winston and Wilkes

Live music is back this month and we couldn’t be more stoked. We have two awesome shows lined up on January 28th and 29th with some of the area’s best musicians. Here’s a little more about our upcoming music events. 

Colin Cutler @ Winston Salem | 1.21.22 - 7pm


Triad folk artist, Colin Cutler is back to perform at our Winston Salem Location, January 21 at 7pmColin Cutler is a Greensboro-based singer-songwriter toting a banjo, guitar, and harmonicas, with his musical roots drawing from the breadth of Americana—from Appalachian old time to gospel to country to roots rock.

 

The Highland Reverie Album Release @ North Wilkesboro | 1.28.22 - 7pm

We have been waiting to announce this event for a while and the time has finally come! We are hosting the Highland Reverie Album Release Party at our North Wilkesboro location on Friday, January 28th!

Luke and Madison Morris grew up playing traditional Appalachian music, drawing inspiration from the Blue Ridge mountains' rich musical heritage. Their songwriting and music have a distinct sound that captures the beauty of American music history. 

North Wilkesboro Events - The Highland Reverie at Anchor Coffee Co

Luke is a gifted and talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who typically plays mandolin and guitar. Madison is also a multi-instrumentalist. She often plays fiddle, guitar, and piano, her talents taking her all the way to the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Tecoby Hines & Seppe @ Anchor Winston | 1.29.21 - 6pm

Save the date: Tecoby Hines and Seppe, aka the Climbing DJ are coming to our Baily Power Plant location Saturday, January 29th. You don’t want to miss it. 

Tecoby Hines - Soul, Hip Hop, and Coffee

Charlotte-based Tecoby Hines is, “a concept heavy artist that leans heavily into soul and hip hop, he willingly visits other genres here and there to keep himself and others interested.”

Originally from Rocky Mount, Hines has chosen to stay in North Carolina and you will hear him pay homage to his home state throughout his music. His story-telling style perfectly intertwines experience from his life with faith, family, and honesty. 

Hines was recently featured in CLTURE, where he was quoted describing the first track of his new EP, Days Under Sun:

“Everybody has dreams, but sometimes we get a little too caught up in them to where we forget what actually matters. [This] song is me talking about me with a desire of making the most of everything.”

Hines knows his way around a Kalita Wave, as you can see on this Instagram post. Whether you’re at Anchor Winston or North Wilkesboro, you will often hear Tecoby’s music on the speakers.

Seppe - The Climbing DJ 

Also known as the climbing DJ, Seppe March has been performing on stages across the US with artists across several genres. He has the distinction of being the house DJ for the Triple Crown of Bouldering. Seppe is an avid mountain biker and professional trail builder. 

When he’s not doing his thing on the turntables or going full send on the trails, you’ll find him behind the grill or in the kitchen.

Together, Tecoby and Seppe are unstoppable and wildly entertaining. You absolutely don’t want to miss this incredible show at our Bailey Power Plant location in Winston-Salem on January 29th.

For the safety of our patrons, employees, and communities, we have had to host fewer events over the last 18-24 months than we have in the past. With building community so integral to our mission, finally being able to showcase these artists has us stoked.
